i just wanted to get the IP address so I can change the network name and have it handy when something goes wrong with the connection.How can i edit my netgear box that came from my ISP with preinstalled stuff on it?
Open a web browser and try this
http://www.getip.com/
The BIG number at the top is your IP
Most ISP's that supply equipment have set it up specifically for the system you are connecting too and wont let you have the information to change any settings (called protection) that might cause them network issues.
