I have a Motorola sbg900 and im really not sure how to add a passscode so not just anyone can use my internet....
this is the installation guide I found on the net and im still not sure how to do it????
I was able to change the name of the network from motorola, just not sure about the pass code...
this is what i did so far...
192.168.0.1 this takes me to the Motorola page thats I guess in my router then I put in a user name and pass code its admin and motorola by default...
then I hit the wireless tab then i go to Security...
And I have pressed every button in there and i still dont no what im doing wrong..

can someone please help me I wish i was able to put up a screen shot on here...Wireless Router passcode? How do I add one?
Assuming you don't need particularly high security for any reason, you can use 64-bit WEP and put the key in where it says %26quot;Key 1%26quot;. If you're using 64-bit WEP, the key should consist of 16 characters, each 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, or F. Pick WPA/WPA2 it is the better encryption type and then the code you put in can be meaningful, such as a name or word, but use mixed alphanumeric characters. Myh0u5e123

Then save and apply.
