RTFI on setting up a network.

I assume you have a router or access point since you mention Linksys. (computers can not connect directly to each other wirelessly, in most cases.)

EACH computer must be set up INDIVIDUALLY!

For further information see instructions, buy a book on networking or check out from library, or hire someone to do it for you.How do I add other laptops to my wireless network?
Make sure the laptop is in the proximity of the WiFi, it should say this on the box or manual somewhere. Make sure her WiFi detector is on and pull up the pace where you manage your network, it should be at the bottom somewhere, depending on the computer. It should be in your %26quot;Network and sharing center%26quot; too. Find %26quot;Connect to a network%26quot; and refresh the findings, make sure the tab says %26quot;all%26quot; too. If it still doesn't work, somewhere should say %26quot;connect to a network%26quot; then %26quot;set up a wireless access point%26quot; then click %26quot;next%26quot; there should be some sort of option to find a network, and click the corresponding action. Click %26quot;wireless%26quot; then it should show a screen similar to the beginning one, and choose your name, and type in the password. How do I add other laptops to my wireless network?

Ok not a problem ,What you have done is reset your router but can still see the old link to put simply the new connection is there but it is the old one that is viewed on the laptop it cant produce the new one till the old one is removed so her we go very simple

1.Shut down the router and leave it off

2.On your laptop go to the wireless network icon (bottom rright of you laptop )and right click it

3.Choose (Network andSharing Centre)

4.Choose(Manage Wireless Networks)

5.When your old network appears in the list highlight it and in the bar above it choose(Remove)

6.exit this back to the desktop and shut down leave it off

7.Turn on your router and let it load 2/3 mins

8.Turn on you laptop

9.Go back to the wireless icon again and right click it this time choose(Connect to a Network)

10.When your new network appears in the list select it and add you passkey/word

Hopefully that is you back on line again
