How do i change my wifi password for at&t?

when i try and change my password i get an error

The Network Name you have entered is invalid.

The custom pass phrase entered is not valid for the selected encryption type. WEP encryption requires either 10 hexadecimal characters or 5 ASCII characters to enable 64-bit encryption and 26 hexadecimal characters or 13 ASCII characters to enable 128-bit encryption.TKIP (WPA-PSK) %26amp; AES-CCMP (WPA2-PSK) require either 64 hexadecimal characters or an ASCII “pass phrase” between 8 and 63 alphanumeric characters.



what does this mean? what am i dong wrong?



the password i want to use is 12 characters long with numbers and letter.How do i change my wifi password for at%26amp;t?
First, connect a cable from your computer to the modem/router.

Disable wireless on your computer.

Enable Ethernet on your computer

Log in to the modem/router.

Click on the WIRELESS tab.

Select WPA or WPA2

Use Kurtm.net to create a pass-phrase. Copy/Save this to a text document.

Use this pass-phrase in your modem/router.

SAVE your changes.

Enable wireless on your computer.

Disable Ethernet on your computer.

Disconnect the cable from your computer to the modem/router.

Join that wireless network using the new pass-phrase
